SJTU School of Foreign Languages Launches 3+M Bachelor-Master Dual Degree Programme in Partnership with the University of Warwick

To expand international postgraduate pathways for full-time undergraduates of the School of Foreign Languages, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), the School has entered a strategic partnership with the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Warwick, a top 100 university in the United Kingdom. By integrating high-quality teaching resources from two world-leading Chinese and British higher education institutions, the joint 3+M Bachelor-Master Dual Degree Programme is scheduled to launch officially.

Built upon the profound academic foundations of both universities, the programme delivers an integrated cross-disciplinary progression route for eligible full-time undergraduates. As a key milestone in bilateral strategic cooperation between the two academic units, students admitted to this programme will receive a 20% tuition fee waiver from the University of Warwick during their overseas studies.

Founded in 1965, the University of Warwick is a globally renowned comprehensive research university. A core member of the UK’s prestigious Russell Group, the university consistently ranks within the world’s top 100 across mainstream global university rankings, holding the 68th position in the QS World University Rankings 2027.

 

Programme Framework

The programme adopts an embedded 3+M joint training model, split into two study phases: undergraduate study at SJTU and postgraduate study at the University of Warwick.

 Phase 1: Undergraduate Studies at SJTU

Students complete the first three years of bachelor’s coursework at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In the fourth year, those who meet all institutional graduation and degree conferral criteria, including relevant credit transfer requirements, will be awarded a Bachelor’s degree from SJTU.

Phase 2: Master’s Studies at the University of Warwick

Candidates nominated by the School and approved following Warwick’s document review and formal admission procedures may enrol in a full-time master’s programme at Warwick during their fourth year of undergraduate study. Upon completing all required modules, passing all assessments and satisfying Warwick’s master’s graduation requirements, participants will obtain a Master’s degree issued by the University of Warwick.

Application Guidelines

1. SJTU Internal Nomination

All eligible applicants shall submit nomination applications via the Overseas Exchange module on the Jiao Wo Ban campus platform.

2. Warwick Official Online Application

After receiving official nomination from the School, applicants are required to submit complete formal application materials through the University of Warwick’s official admissions portal concurrently.
